CIVIL REBELLION
THE SINGER
My name is Noah Wossene. I am a singer/songwriter and have been since I was very young. Born and raised in the city of grunge (Seattle Washington) I was exposed to some of the edgy and amplifying legends such as Nirvana, Soungarden and Pearl Jam; and although my style isn't as "grunge" as these musical legends, the exposure of these bands only enhanced my writing style as a young artist. Beginning my musical journey before I was even thirteen years old, I was massively inspired by bands like, Muse, Blink-182, The Killers, The Clash and of course, Green Day. I still remember blaring 'She' by Green Day every night after learning it for the first time. My musical journey is only just beginning; so if you're down, buckle up, and get ready for a damn good time.
The Lead Guitarist
Rowan Gano is a young lad of 19 years from the rain swept state of Washington. With an inclination for guitar sprouting at the age of 13, Rowan’s interests spread to playing in bands and performing live. After high school he made the very very well informed, wise, and totally not shortsighted decision to put all his chips into playing music live as a career. Fortunately his friend, handsome, captivating, charming, all seeing God-Emperor Noah Wossene, offered him a spot in his band Civil Rebellion. When asked about the all seeing Holy-God omniscient properties of God-Emperor Noah Wossene’s divine right to rule the music industry, Rowan responded with great thought and consideration, saying quote: “what.”
The Drums
Hey all! I'm Duncan Newland-Thompson. I was born in 1993 and began my musical journey when I was a kid playing trumpet in band class at the age of 10-years-old. I grew up with lots of traditional American music playing in the house; artists ranging from Benny Goodman to Johnny Cash, which helped me understand the pathway leading to Rock & Roll. Guitar was my first focus, but I started drumming in bands about ten years ago, after being continuously inspired by groups such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, The Strokes, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam, to name a few. Since then, I've drummed in about 5 different bands, leading to being a part of Civil Rebellion, which has been extremely special, and refreshing. The chemistry is real and gives me so much happy, passionate energy. This is just the beginning of the ride. Let's see where we go!
The Bassist
'Zeke Weiss is a bass player originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. When he's not punk rocking, you can find him working on the farm or frollicking in the forest. Favorite smells include burnt rosemary, lavender and firewood. His musical influences are a wide range of funk, rock, emo trap, and bluegrass. Celebrity crushes are Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Glover and A$AP Rocky.
